What Is Conditional Logic?
Conditional logic lets you show or hide form fields based on the visitor’s answers. For example, if someone selects “Other” from a dropdown, you can reveal an additional text field asking them to specify. This keeps forms short and relevant.
How to Add Conditional Logic to a Field
Open your form in the editor and click on the field you want to control. Go to the Advanced tab and tick Enable Conditional Logic. Set a rule — for example, “Show this field if [Enquiry Type] is [Admissions]”.
Conditional Logic on Notifications and Confirmations
Beyond fields, you can apply conditional logic to notifications and confirmations. This is configured in Settings → Notifications or Settings → Confirmations using the Conditional Logic toggle.
Tips for Using Conditional Logic Effectively
Keep rules simple — one or two conditions per field. Test thoroughly after adding logic, as complex chains of conditions can create unexpected results. If you need help building a form with advanced logic, InnerMedia can assist.
