Add a File Upload Field

Open your form in the WPForms builder. From the Fancy Fields section on the left, drag the File Upload field into your form.

Configure Allowed Extensions

Click on the File Upload field to open its settings. In the Allowed File Extensions box, enter the types you want to accept, separated by commas (e.g. pdf,doc,docx,jpg,png). Leave blank to allow WordPress default types.

Set File Size and Upload Limits

Set the Max File Size in MB (e.g. 10 MB for documents). You can also set Max File Uploads to control how many files a visitor can attach in one submission. A sensible default is 3โ€“5 files.

Choose Storage Method

By default, uploaded files are stored in your WordPress Media Library. You can keep this or choose to store files in a custom location. Save the form and test by submitting an entry with an attached file, then check the entry to confirm it was received.
