Uptime Monitoring & SLA Explained
What Is Uptime?
Uptime is the percentage of time your website is available and accessible to visitors. A site with 99.9% uptime means it is down for no more than approximately 8.7 hours per year.
Kinsta's Uptime Guarantee
Kinsta provides a 99.9% uptime SLA (Service Level Agreement) backed by their infrastructure on Google Cloud Platform. This means your site is guaranteed to be available 99.9% of the time.
99.9% uptime allows for about 8.7 hours of downtime per year, or about 43 minutes per month. In practice, InnerMedia sites typically experience far less downtime than this.
How We Monitor Uptime
InnerMedia monitors all client sites proactively. Kinsta’s built-in monitoring checks your site every 2 minutes. If a site goes down, we are alerted immediately and begin investigating.
What Happens If Your Site Goes Down
In the rare event of downtime:
- Automatic recovery β Kinsta’s systems attempt to restart your site container automatically
- Immediate alert β We receive notifications within minutes
- Investigation β Our team investigates the cause
- Communication β We will email you with an update if the downtime exceeds 15 minutes
- Resolution β Most issues are resolved within 30 minutes
Planned Maintenance
Occasionally, brief maintenance windows are needed for server updates or infrastructure changes. These are always scheduled outside peak hours and we will notify you in advance if any extended downtime is expected.
