What Are Reusable Blocks?

Reusable Blocks (called ‘Patterns’ in newer WordPress versions) let you save a block or group of blocks and insert them on any page. When you update the reusable block, it updates everywhere.

Perfect for content that appears on multiple pages β€” like a call-to-action banner, contact panel, or disclaimer.

Creating a Reusable Block

Select the block(s) you want to reuse. Click the three-dot menu and choose ‘Create Pattern’. Give it a descriptive name like ‘CTA – Book a Visit’.

Inserting a Reusable Block

Click the + button, switch to the ‘Patterns’ tab, and click your saved pattern to insert it.

πŸ”„ Synced vs Unsynced

Synced patterns update everywhere when edited. To customise for one page only, click 'Detach' to convert to regular blocks.

Managing Your Patterns

Click + β†’ Patterns β†’ Manage All Patterns to see, edit, or delete your saved patterns.
