What Are Reusable Blocks?

Reusable Blocks (called ‘Patterns’ in newer WordPress versions) let you save a block or group of blocks and insert them on any page. When you update the reusable block, it updates everywhere.

Perfect for content that appears on multiple pages — like a call-to-action banner, contact panel, or disclaimer.

Creating a Reusable Block

Select the block(s) you want to reuse. Click the three-dot menu and choose ‘Create Pattern’. Give it a descriptive name like ‘CTA – Book a Visit’.

Inserting a Reusable Block

Click the + button, switch to the ‘Patterns’ tab, and click your saved pattern to insert it.

🔄 Synced vs Unsynced

Synced patterns update everywhere when edited. To customise for one page only, click 'Detach' to convert to regular blocks.

Managing Your Patterns

Click + → Patterns → Manage All Patterns to see, edit, or delete your saved patterns.
