Scanning for Malware & Vulnerabilities
WordPress sites can be targeted by malware — malicious code injected through vulnerabilities in outdated plugins, weak passwords, or compromised themes. Regular scanning catches problems early.
Go to Google Safe Browsing (search ‘Google Safe Browsing site status’ and enter your URL) to check if Google has flagged your site. You can also check Sucuri SiteCheck (sitecheck.sucuri.net) for a free external scan.
If your site has Wordfence, go to Wordfence → Scan and run a full scan. It will check all WordPress files, plugins, and themes against known clean versions and flag any modifications.
If any scan finds issues, do not try to fix them yourself — contact InnerMedia immediately at support@innermedia.co.uk. We have tools and expertise to clean infections properly without breaking your site.
